Set in the Marico area of the North West Province this beautiful new trail offers the hiker more than just a hike, it offers an opportunity for a relaxing weekend with up market accommodation in close proximity to the Groot Marico river. The main camp comprises of two wooden chalets perched on a high bank overlooking the riverine forest which conceals a stunning Tufa waterfall. A covered Lapa is built next to the river with a viewing platform that looks down on the waterfall.

One advantage that this venue has for visitors  from Gauteng is that it is close to home and if one travels by way of Magaliesburg, Derby and Koster, the road is toll free.

The trails are centered on the river with its beautiful shady forest, cascades and pools. Indeed, if you are a hiker that enjoys swimming in natural rock pools and enjoying the invigorating feel of the cascades of water as they sweep over you, then you will enjoy this walk. The main trail, at just over 11km can be taken at a fairly leisurely pace and full benefit can be taken of these beautiful pools. The second day of the trail is a short trail and ideal for a morning walk before a leisurely brunch and swim before returning home.

The abovementioned prices are per person per night. Children up to the age of 8 pay R100.00 per night and small babies stay free. We also charge a refundable R250.00 breakage fee per group.  Please bring along your own towels as we do not supply any. All accommodation has its own braai facilities. (Please bring your own braai wood. If you book the Wooden Chalets it would be appreciated if you would only use charcoal on the decks).
